Thanks to mostly remote job function in the last couple of years, I had a chance to explore most of the exquisite places in the Alps ranges and work remotely from there

The most important thing to mention is that these are all places I discovered on my own and that shared with me their beauty, knowledge, culture and people. If you visit any of them for the first time be sure to ask about the unexpected wonders — it’s what makes these places so special.

My experience of Alpine regions has been one of those things in life that make living worth it. And I’m very pleased that I was able to find enough time throughout the last two years to explore this beautiful continent

This let me discover a lot of little hidden treasures and out of the way places that you don’t hear a lot about. And having them all in one place gives you the chance to find out what it is all about.

1) St Magdalena, South Tyrol, Italy

Unlike other famous high altitude places in Dolomite Alps, it never really caught too much attention of tourists. Not too far from Bolzano, it’s one of the most beautiful places on the Earth. Italian hospitality with German infrastructure makes it one of the most unique places to visit and stay for a longer period. In summer and winter, it’s unique character makes it one of the most beautiful places on Earth

2) Grindelwald, Bern, Switzerland

Home to some of the most famous high altitude tourist places in the world like Jungfraujoch and Mt Titlis, it might get quite cold at the top. If you’re a big fan of extremely cold weather and a superfast internet connection even during the commute this could be the best destination in the world. As with the other places in Switzerland, it could be one of the most expensive places on Earth

3) Kitzbühel, Tyrol, Austria

Kitzbühel is one of the most visited and attractive places in Austria. It has been attracting guests for many years and is still a popular destination for mountain lovers. Kitzbühel can be found in Tyrol, which is near Salzburg and the border with Switzerland. It consists of an impressive number of exciting ski runs that range from extreme to intermediate levels. If you are not a big fan of loud flashy apres ski and parties, might not be the best place to visit

4) Bregenz, Voralberg, Austria

The town of Bregenz sits on the shores of Lake Constance, in the western part of Austria. It’s one of those rare places that’s surrounded by astounding natural beauty — rolling hills and forest, snow-capped mountains in the distance and lakes on three sides. And yet there are still plenty of distractions — one only has to visit the huge lakeside shopping mall or drive into Germany for a dose of culture. If you are a fan of working in complete isolation in the middle of some of the most beautiful places on Earth this could be a place to go.

5) Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria

Innsbruck is a beautiful city in the Austrian Alps. It’s part of Tyrol and is located on the shore of Lake Inn. Innsbruck is famous for its theme of a “living city”. This means that there are several self-operated restaurants and shops throughout the city. This is a very popular feature for tourists and the locals. Innsbruck is also home to some great museums and architectural marvels and is one of those laid back and calm cities
